Gigs have been taking place in Brecon over the Jazz weekend ever since the first Jazz Festival 26 years ago.

This collection of gigs was branded 'Brecon Fringe Festival' in 2006 when the first ever guide to non Jazz Festival events was produced. The BRECON FRINGE GUIDE is now in its fifth year and the Fringe attracts large crowds, most of whom come to Brecon for the eclectic and top quality music which takes place in venues in and around the town.

Gigs and events over the Fringe are organised and funded independently by local landlords, venue owners and promoters and Brecon Fringe offers opportunities for local bands to perform (as well as bands from further afield).

Come to the Fringe if you like blues, rock, R&B, comedy, dance and alternative performances as well as occasional bursts of jazz. This year there are more family friendly venues and also farmers markets.
